Everyone knows that strawberries and champagne are a match made in heaven. So why not make strawberries and champagne cupcakes? Unfortunately, strawberries are out of season at the mo and it seems we drank our last bottle of bubbly a little while back, so making do with what we had/could find, I made Sauvignon Blanc Cupcakes with Raspberry Cream Cheese Frosting.

While the northern hemisphere is welcoming summer, down here winter is rolling on in. We've had a spell of pretty atrocious weather in the last wee bit, thunder storms and torrential rain and it just makes you want to curl up with a blankie and a hot cuppa and reminisce about the summer just been.

Ok, I had no idea how difficult it is to cook a meal and try to take photos at the same time!
Pioneer Woman and smitten kitchen make it look so effortless. But as I found, it really isn't.
My timing was all whack because I would be trying to get that perfect shot but all the while the dish keeps on cooking. It was a juggle trying keep everything looking moderately neat and photo-worthy and not burn anything. Maybe I just need to add some photo-taking time to recipes? Or maybe it's a skill that comes with practise? Any tips from seasoned bloggers out there?
So, for my first blogtastic dish, I decided to try out a recipe from MasterChef New Zealand.
